Improved water purification in the cooling tower

One of the worst and most challenging tasks is gone with improved water purification in the cooling tower.

Challenges:

- Lots of leakage of washing water to the ground via plastic slats.

- Heavy manual work when changing the cooling cartridges: the cooling cartridges weigh 1 kg and more than 100 kg when removed.

- Exposure to chemicals and gases as well as crush and fall hazards.

Solutions:

- New slats in acid-resistant material. No leakage to ground.

- The basket is lifted with a crane and replaced with a new one.

- Replacement of plastic cooling cassettes with new ones in composite.

Results:

- Little or no exposure.

- Eliminates the risk of falling and crushing.

- No washing water leaks to the ground.

- Composite is rinsed clean and can be inserted again. No waste.
